The Voice Teacher

Colenton Freeman began his teaching career in 2005.  He was both guest professor and adjunct professor for voice at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.  He also taught as adjunct professor at the Hochschule Osnabrück, Instutute für Musik, and the University of Kassel

Presently, Colenton Freeman is Dozent for Voice at the Lahn-Dill-Kreis Musikschule Wetzlar and teaches music courses and workshops at the Community College in Gießen. He also has a private voice studio in Gießen.

He has given masterclasses at the Conservatory of Music in Bratislava, Slovakia and at the American Opera Center in New York.  Also, he was on the faculty of the American University Summer Opera Workshop in Rome along with the legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne.

Colenton also served as guest professor for final vocal juries at the Conservatoire du Musique in Lyon, France.
